Ministries

Establishing different ministries in the church helps believers show their love of Christ to each other. They are a necessary component of driving the 5 purposes of our church: worship, fellowship, evangelism, discipleship and service. At Hear The Word Bible Church, ministries are a vibrant and growing corner stone where people come together to build relationships, grow in their Christian walk, encourage one another and in the process bring glory to God. Our ministries are here to promote fellowship, encouragement, reinforce each other's Christian ministry, and help individuals grow in their walk with Christ.

T.C. Community Development Services, is a non-profit charitable organization designed specifically to provide developmental programs in areas where the need is the greatest; and to create, maintain, and support need-based and area specific programs that respond to community social needs.

Church Ministries

Couples Ministry - "It Takes Two

Designed to promote and encourage unity between the husband and wife. The ministry's purpose is to set standards for every couple acknowledged as members of the body of Christ

Dance Ministry - "Graceful Praise"

Designed to recognize the arts in the church. This ministry will use the art of dancing to uplift the name of Jesus

Employment Ministry - "Seek and Find"

The purpose of this ministry is to provide a caring, spiritual, and supportive environment that is geared towards helping others gain employment as quickly as possible

Mens Ministry - "Men-At-Work"

Designed to motivate and inspire men to become involved in their local church. The goal of the men's ministry is to encourage self-respect and develop poise in our men, teaching them to become leaders in the home and in the church. Our vision is to equip and empower men to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually into fully developing followers of Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Missions Ministry - "Hands and Feet"

The purpose of this ministry is to build relationships and motivate communities for change by becoming the "hands and feet" of Christ.

Outreach Ministry - "Go Fish"

The purpose of the Outreach ministry is to win souls for Christ. This ministry has a hunger for the lost to come to Christ and is concerned about an individual's soul upon leaving this earth.

Singles Ministry "Never Alone"

Designed to unite the singles together, this ministry focuses on spiritual growth in God and is concerned about the singles of the church becoming whole in Him.

Womens Ministry - "The Coffee House"

The goal of the women's ministry is to encourage women to make wise choices and successfully handle the stresses they face in life. It is designed to promote fellowship and encouragement among women facing life's challenges. These choices we hope, will enable each woman to discover what it means to be transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit into a fully developing follower of Christ.

Young Teen Ministry - "Diamonds & Pearls"

The purpose of this ministry is to elevate and motivate young teen girls to a life of holiness, to encourage them to fulfill God's purpose and plan for their lives, to teach them how to walk by the Word and to enjoy the journey as they pursue it, and to prepare them to enter society as strong, balanced, informed, and virtuous women.

Youth Ministry - "SWAT" (Students With A Testimony)

The goal of the youth ministry is to see that every youth has an opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of Jesus Christ and to become a part of the Church. Because the needs and longings of young people are unique to their time, place, and life experiences, we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ in a way that is relevant to them.

Audio/Visual Ministry.   Designed to effectively enhance the proclamation of the preached Word and the worship of God through the use of sound and video technology to convey God's message to the church.

Children's Church Ministry.  The purpose of this ministry is to "train up a child in the way it should go." Children's Church is held on Sundays from 10:00am to 11:00am and is taught by ministry leaders who are able to effectively teach younger children (ages 2 thru 12) about the love of God on a level that they can understand. The children are given Bible verses to memorize and learn and are encouraged to ask and answer questions about the lessons being taught. They are required to participate in plays/performances and interact with others in group activities.  This is an interactive approach towards teaching the children who God is and what He wants for us. After Children's Church, they are asked to stay with their parents in the adult service as they praise and worship and "hear the word" of God.

Christ Lifestyle Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to provide guidance to HTWBC members, guest and our community at large on living a healthy, prosperous, stress-free and whole life according to the promises and principles of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that when we have the proper knowledge in these areas that we will truly be saved from the pitfalls of the enemy. (John 10:10)

Fishing for Souls - Group Bible Study. Designed to facilitate in-depth study and exploration of the Bible so that individuals can grow in their faith and apply it practically in their lives. To equip individuals to become better parents, better employees, and better citizens of their community.

Hospitality Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to provide spiritual care to those in need, a loving atmosphere for guest and members, and to provide service to the Pastor and his family, expecting no reward from man, but knowing that Jesus will reward him one day for his efforts and loyalty. As a service to the Pastor, one must develop the spirit of an armor bearer by assisting the leader in all activities and undertakings by preparing and caring for his belongings and anticipating his needs and demands so as to properly furnish and supply what is necessary. Members of this ministry are ones who have a great love for the Pastor and church family.

Music Ministry.   Designed to provide skillful music unto the Lord, not as an entertainment, but as a focus on the move of God in the servic

Pastor's Aid Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to provide supplementary support to the Pastor and to serve as caretakers. To show appreciation to the Pastor for his leadership and spiritual guidance in the Church. To provide support and service to the Pastor within the church with encouraging words, prayers and other actions of love.

Public Relations Ministry.   Designed to pursue the growth of the church by communicating church-wide events in a positive and professional light, whether it be thru fliers, newsletters, invitations, the Internet or other forms of media. Its purpose is to convey a warm hospitality so that individuals who hear about us, read about us, or visit our website will want to become part of the body of Christ. The Public Relations ministry gives individuals a view of the church which will cause them to want to participate.

Security Ministry - The Gatekeepers. The purpose of this ministry is to provide a safe environment for the Pastor and church family. The Security Ministry will not tolerate confusion on the church ground because it is Holy ground. They are peacemakers who keep the enemy out that desires to start trouble. (Psalm 84:10)

Ushers Ministry. The ushers are gifted helpers in making others feel welcome to the ministry. Ushers operate in love presenting the Spirit of Christ. The purpose of this ministry is to be gatekeepers who keep order in the church.

Website Ministry. Designed to promote the organization and minister globally 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, to any individual in need no matter where they live in the world as long as they have Internet access.
